It is nestled on abrupt cliffs which provide to the visitor amazing views. Mesochori village has different scenery. Beaches of Karpathos

It is the most famous beach on the island and it has ranked several times among the best beaches in Greece. Don’t you want to witness its beauty with your own eyes? What about going literally to paradise? Now it’s time to talk about Vasili’s Paradise. It is reachable only by boat. So you proud private yacht owners you just found your secret spot of relaxation! As you sail through the light blue dreamy waters you will approach a small cove under the cliffs. The white light sand is ideal for sunbathing and the waters are crystal clear. Agios Minas beach has taken its name from the chapel that is on the top of a cliff observing the entire bay. If you visit the chapel and look to the panoramic view of the beach you will be amazed. A bay with crystal clear emerald waters and right behind it there are olive groves. The scenery is completed by the green hills that circle the region. One of the most picturesque places in Karpathos is Kyra Panagia beach.  It is located close to the nice settlement Pigadia. You will swim in light blue waters and you will sunbathe on the light grey pebbles. After a long day on the beach Kyra Panagia provides to the visitor all basic amenities such as taverns and beach bars.  On the contrary of the organized Kyra Panagia beach there is Psoraris beach. Are you a windsurfer or a hiker? Karpathos is for you

Karpathos is considered to be one of the hottest destinations of the Mediterranean when it comes to windsurfing. Windsurfers for all over the world come to Karpathos from May to middle of October to practice their favorite sport. The headquarters of the windsurfers is in Afiartis, a small village that is close to 3 shallow coves that have the ideal conditions for this sport. Chicken bay is perfect for you if you are a beginner and you want to try something new to remember in your holidays in Karpathos. The Gun bay is for the ones that are in the intermediate level and for the ones that are professionals they should go to Devil’s bay. The high season lasts from May to August when the Meltemia winds are arriving and are on their peak. Windsurfers aren’t the only ones that love Karpathos. Generally if you are a person of adventure then the island is just for you. The crystal clear seas and the rich sea life of Karpathos make it ideal for scuba diving.
